At Lighthouse, we have served many people with disabilities since we first opened our doors in 1975 – some of who are deaf or hard of hearing. Many of our staff are knowledgeable in ASL and continue to learn to better serve the individuals.

Julie Solorio began her time at Lighthouse as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Pre-Vocational Training program. There she provided support to a group of six individuals as they collated fire safety kits, folded corner protectors, and assembled school kits for homeschooling families.
