Job Description

As a Program Specialist, you will establish and maintain effective communication with Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide guidance and supervision for up to six participants in in our Strengthening Pathways educational program–which consists of daily living and enrichment activities that include music, art, reading, cooking, and exercise–to ensure participants achieve their goals.

Hours: Mon–Fri: 7:30am–4:00pm

Pay Rate: $17.00–$20.00
Generous Vacation & Time Off Policy
  • Earn one week of additional paid vacation every year– within the first five years–you will receive up to five weeks paid vacation
  • Plus nine paid holidays–in addition – earn one day – paid time off each month
Qualifications
  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work experience in human services
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience in human services
  • An associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience in human services
  • Pass pre-employment physical and PA State Police Background Check
  • Complete CPS training within 60 days of hire
  • Lighthouse will provide training to obtain the Professional Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE)
Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Supervise DSPs to ensure accurate compliance with participants’ goals and daily documentation
  • Have quarterly meetings with DSPs conducting performance reviews/goal setting implementation and coaching
  • Ensures all aspects of each participant’s assessment, ISP, monthly reports, and quarterly reviews are completed in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Attends and participates in ISP meetings and participants’ quarterly review meetings
  • Provides coverage for DSPs during lunch time and planned or unplanned absences
  • Work as a team player with colleagues to promote a positive and engaging work environment
  • Complete annual required online trainings on Relias training platform
  • Attend in-person professional development/team building trainings
  • Support the mission and vision of Lighthouse Vocational Services
