Lighthouse Vocational Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities by providing meaningful work opportunities and support services. Lighthouse serves over 170 individuals, helping them reach their full potential through a range of in-house, community-based, and online programs. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Lead talent acquisition and management, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention strategies.
  • Oversee HR operations, including payroll processing, HRIS management, and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, timely reports on employee data and HR operations, providing insights to support organizational decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee relation issues, helping to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, particularly in the social services sector.
  • Administer compensation and benefits, negotiate insurance coverage, and maintain competitive programs within budget constraints.
  • Develop and implement training programs and materials for employee and leadership development.
  • Lead employee appreciation activities, assist with company events, and support the CEO with other people strategy initiatives.
  • Support the mission and vision of Lighthouse Vocational Services in the community and attend and work organizational events, as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • At least 3-5 years of HR experience in talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, and HRIS management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, including recruitment, employee relations, and compensation.
  • Proven ability to manage and report on HR data effectively for decision-making purposes.
