Associate Program Coordinator
Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
This is a full-time position which reports to the Program Coordinator. The Associate Program Coordinator serves as a Program Specialist as well as providing support to the Program Coordinator.
Pay: $24.52/hr with a $500 sign on bonus payable after completion of 90 days, generous benefit package and PTO.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study related to human services OR:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or other human services related field and five years of experience working directly with people with disabilities.
- Must obtain certification in both of the following within 30 days of employment:
- A Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential from the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) AND:
- A Basic Employment Services Certificate of Achievement or a Professional Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services from an Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) organizational member that has ACRE-approved training.
- Must complete ODP approved training on Community Participation Support within one month of hire
- Must be a Certified Investigator or enroll in training within thirty days of hire
- Safe driving record and a valid Pennsylvania (PA) driver’s license. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must undergo and pass the required background checks, physical exam, and have no criminal history which would jeopardize participants.
- Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Supervises a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSP).
- Establish and maintain effective communication with Support Coordination Organizations and families to ensure participants have opportunities to pursue their vocational or other community-based interests.
- Maintains caseload of 10-15 participants and be able to perform all duties as assigned Direct Support Professional and Program Specialists
- Is responsible for the Pre-Vocational and Adult Training programs when the Program Coordinator is not available.
- Prepare quarterly reports of each participants’ experience which are written in a clear, concise manner with proper grammar and spelling.
- Completes an annual assessment for each Participant on their caseload and submits them within required time limits.
- Completes an initial assessment for each new Participant assigned to them within the required timeline for completion.
- Meets regularly with those who report directly to him/her to assess Participant strengths and needs.
- Meets regularly with direct reports to support their professional growth.
- Maintains Participant’s confidentiality, files, verbal communication, all written records.
- Represents Lighthouse at annual ISP meetings for each Participant on their assigned caseload.
- Ensures an appropriate DSP participates in annual ISP meetings.
- Collaborates with colleagues to develop community integrated employment and community participation opportunities for participants.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and unifying work environment that values the strengths of everyone.
- Adheres to LVS policies and procedures.
- Attend staff/professional development training.
- Serves on teams, accepts responsibility for other areas based on their strengths and the needs of the organizations.
- All other duties as assigned

- Auditory and visual acuity to observe staff, participants, and the environment for safety and compliance
- Able to concentrate, prioritize, and problem solve in dynamic and sometimes high stress environments
- May be required to support or de-escalate individuals in crisis, which could be physical interventions in accordance with agency approved techniques
